While some people might enjoy cleaning, if you’re anything like myself you simply want to get it over with so that you can move on with your life!
I especially dislike cleaning floors for some reason. The entire process of trying to sweep everything up and then dragging around a dirty mop bucket full of water and chemicals to slosh around my house is so unappealing that I nearly have to force myself to get the job done. I inevitably will procrastinate the chore until I can’t any longer!
That all changed after I finally got around to purchasing the Bissell Steam and Sweep steam mop. What was once a dreadful chore that I could hardly ever bring myself to do can now be done in minutes, all with one appliance!
Steam Mop and Sweeper All in One
Sweeping and mopping your hardwood or tile floors probably currently goes something like this: Get out the broom and sweep the entire floor, getting all of the cracks and corners debris could be hiding in. Grab your dirty dustpan and awkwardly maneuver your debris into it and then into the garbage. Get the mop, mop bucket, and a whole brew of bleaches and other chemicals and toss them into the mop bucket with some hot water. Lug that heavy bucket of soon to be dirty water around, slowly mopping the hardwood floors while questioning whether water which gets as dirty as mop bucket water could even be cleaning the floors at this point.. And so on and so forth, correct?
With the Bissell Steam and Sweet Steam Mop, you can consolidate all of these activities into one appliance and eliminate most of the work described above. The Bissell steam and sweep steam mops multi functioning head works as both a sweeper and steam mop, picking up dirt and debris on the first pass and hot steam on the second with the pull of a trigger.
17.5 Oz Steam Mop Tank Allows For 15+ Minutes Of Active Steam Cleaning
The only preparation required in using the Bissell steam and sweep steam mop is to fill up the 17.5 oz water tank with water and plug it in. After just a few minutes the “ready” light on the front of the steam mop will let you know that the water has now turned to vapor, and you get get to sweeping and mopping at the same time!
Even though you won’t be releasing steam every moment you’re maneuvering around, the water tank holds enough water to allow you easily 15+ minutes of constant use, which you’ll almost never deplete. Even when cleaning all of the hard surface floors in my own home, I can generally finish the job long before needing a refill!
Steam On Demand Trigger Allows You To Swap Sweeping And Mopping Instantly
Many steam mops have something like an on or off switch that toggles between whether its steaming or not at that moment, but the idea is that once you turn your steam mop on, you’re in mopping mode.
It’s a little bit different with the Bissell Steam and Sweep steam mop, though. Since you’ll likely be sweeping up an area and then steam mopping it right after, you’ll want to pass over the dirt and debris first, and then once more while the steam mop is emitting steam. Instead of designing the bissell steam and sweep in a way that would force you to constant toggle back and forth, you simply press down a trigger on the mop and you’re steam cleaning instantly!
There’s some debate between consumers about this feature, however. I view it as a benefit as you have far more control over the steam cleaning, and since it does act as an appliance which is intended to sweep up debris before the mop comes through, this would make the most sense. Some steam mop reviews however complain that the trigger function can make your fingers or hands a little cramped up or tired when using it, however I find that even after using it to clean the entire house I don’t feel like my hands are tired at all.
Swivel Head Gets Around All Corners And Hard to Reach Places
One of the biggest headaches you encounter while mopping is other objects or furniture in the room. Trying to effectively mop around structures or furniture is almost impossible, sometimes leaving you with a bigger mess than when you started!
Using all natural steam cleaning and the swiveling head of the bissell steam mop, you can get into all those pesky nooks and crannies without leaving a mess of dirty water in them as you awkwardly try mopping it up!
Quit Using Deadly Chemicals And Clean With 100% Natural Steam!

Industrial Cleaners and Chemicals Can be Harmful to Pets and Children! Use 100% Natural Steam And Keep Them Safe!
One of the major benefits that owners of a steam mop gain is that instead of the deadly chemicals used in traditional mopping, you can use super heated water vapor (aka steam) which can sanitize just as well as any of the strongest chemical industrial cleaners! Pet owners and those with young children might consider this very important, as both are often close to the ground and more susceptible to being injured by ingesting these harmful poisons. Having the bottom portion of a kitchen sink full of these chemicals puts children in the home at risk by simply being there, as thousands of children mistakenly stumble upon and ingest these cleaners.
Long Cord Allows You To Cover Large Areas At Once

With The Long 30 Foot Cord Included, You Need Not Worry About Your Water Cooling Down in Between Every Room!
The Bissell Steam and Sweep steam mop comes with a 30 foot long cord by itself, which is pretty long compared to most cleaning appliances you’ll usually get! The length of the cord on the best steam mop for me has to be long, because I have large open sections of hardwood and tile floor that I clean all at once. Especially when I’m in the middle of steam cleaning, if I have to unplug the steam mop (or it becomes unplugged accidentally) it’s going to begin the process of the water cooling off. You’ll then have to wait again while it heats up enough to produce vapor, and you don’t want to have interruptions like this using a product designed to help you save time! It may be a minor bonus, but it certainly makes a difference as you’ll clearly see if using cheap steam mops.
Take it from someone who took way too long to take the plunge: The bissell steam and sweep is an excellent steam mop which functions as a sweeper at the same time. Trust me, the amount of time and energy you save using a steam mop will shock you!

It might have taken me quite a while to get accustomed to the idea of using a steam mop (and thus even longer to decide to actually purchase one!) but it’s definitely been one of the better decisions in my life in terms of keeping the home as clean as possible. Before I was using steam mops, it took me forever to do simple chores. That’s all been changed since
I was pretty surprised to learn this considering I had been throwing away money all along by purchasing disposable pads the entire time I had been using it! Due to my own ignorance, I wasn’t able to see that I had the ability (and means) to make even further strides in my housekeeping assistance. In truth I didn’t even think that this was that big of a deal at first. As far as I knew, I spent maybe a few extra dollars a year or so on the convenience of the disposable models.
Trying to keep laminate floors clean can be a nightmare. As a family man with more than one set of hardwood, tile, and laminate floors in my humble abode, I unfortunately spend a lot of time keeping these various surfaces clean and free from germs, dirt, and all of those other wonderful additions to the home which everyone seems to track inside.
As a basic preventive measure, you should go over your floors at least a couple times a week with a broom to pick up basic dirt and dust which can build up. If given time to build up, dust and dirt can make the floors look dull and older. Even more of an issue is that the build up can even lead to damage if given enough time to manifest itself. Obviously, replacing tile and laminate floors isn’t a cheap endeavor that you’ll probably want to do anytime soon.
As for the cleaning solution, obviously using a steam mop will primarily mean that you’re using steam as the cleaner. Steam mopping laminate floors is generally the only way I take care of them, and I find that this works just as well as when I used to use a traditional mop and bucket setup. Back then I used a very strong cleaner designed especially for laminate floors, and the fumes were so thick that I rarely did the job.
Throughout my own house, I have hard floor surfaces all over the place. Just about every floor in the entire house is either hardwood or tile, which is a look that I love. Growing up I had carpet in pretty much every room of my house and saw early on the disadvantages of this method, and saw how elegant and nice homes who had a lot of nice hardwood floors looked. I kept the same opinion as I grew up, and nowadays my home looks just how I like it.
