I have to admit that I’m plagued by two personalities which are constantly at odds with one another within me. On the one hand, I’m a bit of a clean freak. I don’t necessarily keep everything spotless at all times like some of the more OCD plagued people out there, but I certainly don’t let my home become too messy. But then on the other hand I have an opposite problem.. The fact that I absolutely hate cleaning!
While some clean freaks actually enjoy the process of cleaning the house and ensuring that everything is done perfectly, I don’t receive any pleasure from it. I find that I’ll procrastinate most cleaning projects for quite a while before actually getting down to business, resulting in a ton of time lost simply to me dancing around the project.
Steam Mops Free Up Time And Energy To Do What YOU Want
Thanks to the almighty steam mop, Ive been shown the light of day! These appliances are something new to me, and I have to confess that I resisted actually trying them out at first. I figured that they would be far too expensive and troublesome to be worth my time, but after some initial resistance I eventually succumbed to the suggestions. I suppose people were probably growing tired of my constant complaining about cleaning the floors, so they all just eventually insisted that I try one out.
My sister and her husband owned one and finally just let me borrow it to see what I had been missing for so long.
I took the steam mop home and, as with most cleaning projects, procrastinated accomplishing the task for at least a few days. I would go as far to say that it might have been a week or so before I really got down to taking care of business, but the clean freak inside of me couldn’t wait any longer. Reluctantly I prepared myself for a big hassle just like every other cleaning endeavor seems to be.
After Using a Steam Mop, I Could Never Go Back!
I’m happy to say that I’m a full convert to the steam mop! Anyone whose had to mop their hardwood and tile floors with the traditional mop and bucket method already understands how much of a long drawn out process this is. It never seems to end, and if you have a lot of hardwood floors like me, it’s going to take you a long time to get the job done. Especially since you’ll inevitably be forced to change the water at least once, it ends up being a mess that takes forever to finish.
Not with the best steam mops, however! It took me only a few minutes to get the steam up and running, and then it was no hassle at all to simply glide around my home with the appliance and clean the floors in a jiffy. What would have been at least a couple hour project took me no more than 15 – 20 minutes, including the preparation and cleaning up!
If you haven’t made the decision to buy a steam mop yet, you are doing yourself a serious disservice. Whether you purchase one from the store or check out some steam mop reviews online and order from there, without even trying one yourself I can gaurantee that you’ll fall in love with it the first time you try it, just as I did!
